About Gig Guru
Built by people who play the gigs.
Gig Guru comes from Beat Barn Production, a Malaysian music company that has trained and booked creatives since 2019. We built it to give creative workers what most gigs still lack: a written agreement, safe payment, injury cover and proof that their work is theirs.
Why we built it
Three problems we saw on every gig
No safety net
Late payments, no SOCSO, no savings. We hold payment in escrow, pay within 7 days, and register talent for SOCSO cover.
Work copied without credit
Demos and artwork reused without permission. Markora watermarks every upload and records who made it.

Kay Sik Cheong Lee 施长礼
Founder, Gig Guru · Director, Beat Barn Production Sdn. Bhd.
Kay has worked in the music business since earning her Diploma in Music Business in 2014. She founded Beat Barn Production in 2019, which runs Beat Barn Academy, a TVET Industry Partner under JPK (Department of Skills Development), and since 2021 has also led Emulab, a technology studio. She is a certified MBOT and JPK trainer, holds an MBA, and is completing a Doctor of Business Administration.
